Not All Rivers Flow Into the Sea
Ice cores provide clear evidence that humans induced the rise of global temperatures. In Not All Rivers Flow Into the Sea, I collected and froze freshwater from Laguna Lake and Molawin River in Laguna, Philippines, then shaped the ice into the familiar form of a plastic water bottle. Mixed with watercolor pigment, the formed ice melted onto paper, leaving imprints on its surface, echoing the melting of glaciers due to human activity.
