The artist’s 1st solo exhibition titled Paraiso/Paraíso/Paradise at Kresge Art Center in Michigan, USA in 2020 contemplates the palm tree as a complex symbol of migration. The artist uses the palm, with its transported meanings and fantasies of an American paradise, to reveal its connection to hope from marginalized perspectives.
